How to use this wheel

Import usernames from a comments CSV or paste one username per line. Deduplicate accounts locally and draw from the reviewed list; no Instagram connection.

  1. Review the starting list and tool settings.
  2. Edit entries and weights before spinning.
  3. Spin to select one option or draw several winners.
  4. Export JSON to keep a copy of your setup.

When to use it

Edit the starting list for your activity. Equal weights give equal chances; removal prevents that entry from returning.

Transparent probabilities

Chance = entry weight ÷ total weight. Wheel and Names selects an outcome using Web Crypto before animating the wheel. It is a browser-based picker, not an independently audited or verifiable draw service.

GOOD TO KNOW

Frequently asked questions

Is Wheel and Names free?

Yes. All tools in this version are free, with no account or ads.

Does this tool fetch comments from Instagram?

No. Supply your exported CSV with a username column or paste usernames. Likes, follows and eligibility are not checked.

Can I pick several winners without repeats?

Yes. Choose “Pick multiple winners” and request 2–100 winners, no more than the number of distinct labels. Exact repeated labels are combined and their weights added. Each selected label is removed from the temporary pool before the next pick. Winners are saved to history, and can be copied or downloaded. The entry list changes only if removal is enabled or you remove the winners.

Can I import a spreadsheet list?

Yes. Save your table as UTF-8 CSV with one name column and an optional integer weight column. Commas and semicolons are supported. Review the names and weights before adding a separate wheel. TXT and Wheel and Names JSON files are also supported. CSV exports entries and weights; JSON keeps the wheel settings.

How does the random selection work?

Wheel and Names uses crypto.getRandomValues() from your browser. An integer is selected with rejection sampling, then mapped to an entry in proportion to its weight. The animation displays the chosen result; it does not determine it.

Where are my names and results stored?

Wheel lists, settings and up to 100 results per wheel are stored in localStorage on this browser. There is no cloud account or cross-device synchronization. Export a JSON file to keep a separate copy.

Can I share a wheel?

Yes. The share link contains a copy of your entries and weights in its URL fragment. Anyone with that link can read them. It does not contain your result history or update when you later edit your wheel.

Review your import

The file is read on this device. Adding it creates a separate wheel; your existing wheels stay intact.

File formats

TXT: one entry per line. CSV: name and optional weight columns, separated by commas or semicolons; name/weight or имя/вес headers are recognized. Use 2–200 entries and whole-number weights from 1 to 1,000. UTF-8 files only.

CSV exports labels and weights, without settings or history. Spreadsheet formula-like labels receive a leading apostrophe for safe display; keep JSON for an exact backup.

One draw. Several winners.

Select distinct labels without replacement. Identical labels are combined and their weights added. After each pick, its weight is removed before the next pick.

Restore saved wheels

The file is processed on this device. Check the wheels below before adding them.

Settings

Applies to all wheels in this browser. Save to apply changes.

These display settings do not change probabilities. Duplicate weights are combined when shown as one sector. Reduced-motion preferences shorten animations.

Wheel colors

Choose a palette. Changes appear on the wheel and are saved immediately.

Share your wheel

This link contains the entry names and weights. Anyone with the link can read them. Share only information you want recipients to see. It opens an independent copy, without your history.

Embed this wheel

Paste this HTML into a page that allows iframes. It opens an independent wheel without history and does not save wheel data on the viewer’s device. Names and weights are readable in the code.
